The media gallery is located on the fifth floor and adjacent to the offices of the press center. It is the main area open to journalists at the press center. The press gallery has eight booths equipped with broadband Internet access, enabling eight journalists to file their stories simultaneously. Copy and facsimile machines are also available for journalists to photocopy and print relevant materials.
A special area is set aside for journalists to conduct interviews and live broadcasting at the press gallery. Free tea and brochures are available here. In addition, an intricate and exactly proportionate sand-model of the Olympic Green is on display at the press gallery, offering a comprehensive view of the Olympic park where the venue and adjacent facilities are located. More over, journalists may also learn about the important events and progress in the preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games over the past three years through a photo exhibition at the press gallery.
