State Councillor Chen Zhili presses a button to officially launch BOCOG’s intermediate website.
BOCOG website has got a new look when it was officially upgraded to become the intermediate website on July 13 at a grand celebration marking the second anniversary of Beijing’s successful bid for the 2008 Olympic Games.
The change is the first revamp of the website since Beijing won the Olympics in 2001. The intermediate website is constructed in line with the Hosting City Contract signed by Beijing and the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
After the upgrade, BOCOG's official website, in several languages including Chinese, English and French, will provide more advanced information and network services. Also available are Olympic news and information about BOCOG’s preparations.
According to the IOC requirements, the website will be further upgraded to a full sports website in April 2008.
